Frequently Asked Questions
Below Are some of the questions you may have about Nourish Mama Luxembourg and how the service works.
If you do not see your question here, you are always welcome to get in touch.
-
Each session includes personalised meal planning, a prepared grocery list and in-home cooking.
Depending on the package, this may include meals, soups, broths, snacks, breakfast options or meal components.
Storage guidance is also provided so the food can be easily used throughout the week.
-
A preparation means one prepared item.
This can be a main dish, a soup, a breakfast option, a snack, a broth, a sauce or a meal component such as cooked grains, proteins or vegetables. For example, five preparations could include a soup, a main dish, a grain, a breakfast option and a snack.
The number of preparations is not the same as the number of portions. Portions vary depending on the recipes, ingredients and how the food is used.
A preparation does not necessarily mean a full meal or a full day of food.
-
Groceries are not included in the package price.
A personalised grocery list is provided before the session, based on the menu planned together.
If preferred, grocery shopping can be added as an extra service depending on availability and location.
-
Yes — Nourish Mama is not a meal-delivery service. Meals are cooked fresh in your own kitchen, using your equipment and the groceries you provide.
-
Busy Mama Support is designed for the whole household and includes family-sized portions as standard, for up to 4 people. For Nesting Prep, Pregnancy Nourish Support and Postpartum Support, meals are planned around the mother — if you'd like to include a partner or other family members, this can be added as an optional extra (see Mother + Partner Portions or Family Portions in our Services).
-
Larger family portions increase the quantity of each dish, not the number of different dishes. If you'd like more variety, additional dishes can be planned in — just let us know during your consultation.
-
Some meals are freezer-friendly, while others are best enjoyed fresh.
For Nesting Prep, freezer planning, portioning and labelling are included.
For other packages, freezer portioning and labelling can be added as an extra service.
-
Nesting Prep is a before-birth session focused on freezer-friendly food, prepared in advance. Postpartum Support takes place after baby arrives, with fresh, nourishing meals for recovery and daily life. Pregnancy Nourish Support is for expecting mothers who want steady nourishment before birth, while Busy Mama Support is everyday help for demanding weeks — not tied to pregnancy or postpartum specifically.
-

For medical diets or specific health conditions, guidance from a doctor, midwife or dietitian is followed.
-
Yes, where possible.
Preferences, cultural choices and general dietary needs can be taken into account.
For medical conditions or strict dietary requirements, guidance from a healthcare professional is followed.
-

For other packages, booking can be done whenever support is needed, depending on availability.
-
Travel conditions depend on location.
Travel may be included within a certain distance. Additional travel fees may apply for locations further away.
-
Each session is planned around the agreed menu and preparations, rather than charged by the hour.
Most sessions take approximately 3 to 5 hours, depending on the package, menu, kitchen setup and quantities.
More comprehensive sessions, such as Nesting Prep, may naturally take longer due to the number of preparations, freezer organisation and portioning involved. The focus is on completing the planned preparations in a smooth and realistic session, rather than working to a fixed time limit.
-
Yes.
Please make sure you have enough containers at home to store the prepared food.
The most commonly used and practical options include freezer-safe containers, resealable freezer bags and portion-based freezing trays (such as silicone trays designed for food storage).
Freezer bags and trays can be especially useful for soups, broths, sauces or smaller portions, as they allow flexible portioning and save space. These smaller portions can be easily used later — for example, added directly into a meal or defrosted quickly when needed.
Larger or structured dishes are better stored in containers.
The exact types and quantities may vary depending on the package you choose and the menu we plan together. This will be discussed and confirmed before the session.
Please make sure these are prepared in advance so the session can run smoothly.
